"Everything is never as it seems"
The storyline is centred around Isabelle Mathews, the loving wife of Raymond Mathews, who finds herself in a mental institution telling her story. She utilises storytelling to inform the audience of her past as her personal nurse, Nurse Adeline, tries to assist her as best as she can.
While she mentions two characters, Raymond, her husband and Tanya, his new lover, who later on learns that everything is not as it seems.
